QUARRYING

We work with a variety of businesses in the extractive industry across the South of England, helping them achieve compliance with the Quarry Regulations. We are also members of the South East Quarrying and Landfill Group and have built up an excellent relationship with the HSE Quarrying inspector.

HEALTH & SAFETY / TRAINING

Many challenges face the extractive industry but you can be confident that BHP Group are on your side and are able to help you improve your quarry compliance, including an update of your paperwork ensuring your roles and responsibilities are fit for purpose and your 8.1c and 8.1d are correctly appointed. We have undergone Geotechnical and Quarry Regulations training with the Chartered Institute of Quarrying to ensure that we are totally up to speed and competent to provide you with the support that you need.

We also provide in-house training and audits on known quarry issues such as face stability, stockpile safety, infill, water security, lagoons and silt ponds, transport safety on-site, workshop safety, product manufacture and dust suppression systems.

We will provide risk assessments, safe systems of work, tip rules, site plans, a comprehensive health & safety policy and set up monitoring systems.

Working with the regulator and geo-technical specialists is also something that we are often asked to do following a visit, so please get in touch to see how we can help you.
